The rafts need not be necessarily paddled or rowed, as there are motorized rafts available. Another popular variety of the raft is the hybrid raft that consists of the oars as well as the paddles. This enables passengers to distribute the tasks of paddling and oaring among themselves. Rafting is generally supervised by a qualified professional guide and all his instructions must be strictly adhered to.
