So what exactly is an ad poster? In essence an ad poster is basically anyone involved in a free affiliate program. An affiliate program is when a company pays someone like yourself to spread the word about their website, product or service. This is done by providing you with a free website that will be similar to the company's website. The website that they provide will have information on the product, service, etc that the company wants you to advertise. Well the company doesn't expect you to advertise their website, product or service for free. Prior to posting ads for the company, they set up an agreement with you usually via a form on their website. The agreement basically states that you advertise their site, product or service and they will pay you a set amount of money per sale or lead. They promise to pay you by check, paypal or direct deposit, every such week, month or day. Enrolling as an affiliate with a company is totally free. They want as many people advertising for their company so they will never charge you for the privilege of helping them make more money. What's The Difference Between Sales And Lead Based Affiliate Programs? Sale based affiliate programs are a bit harder but pay more. The expectation for the company on a sales based affiliate program is that you not only introduce others to a given website, product or service, but that the person actually buys what is being offered. If the person visits the website and doesn't purchase a product you don't get paid. But if they do the company will give you a percentage of the sale, which can range from 1% - 80% depending on the company. That can be anywhere from a few dollars to several thousand dollars. Lead based affiliate programs are much easier in my experience but usually pay less. A lead is basically when you've spread the word about a company's product, service or website and someone decides to inquire more information and this is usually done via visiting the companies website and filling out a form. That's right, companies will pay you for having people just fill out a form without purchasing anything. Why you may ask? Well it will be much easier for a company to sell a product or service to prospects who have actively taken the time to fill out a form for more information. It gives the company's sales people hot prospects that they can sell easier to because these people already have shown an interest. Companies will pay a few cents per lead up to $25 depending on the type of lead. The best scenario is a company that allows for both pay per lead and sale. If not it's good to join some companies that are pay per lead and others that may be pay for sale. This way you double the amount of money you can be earning. How To Get Started Affiliate programs can be found on most websites at the bottom of their homepage or anywhere on the page that reads affiliate or partner with us. Do a search for "affiliate programs" in google and you'll find several companies. After you've located a program you like, just sign up as an affiliate. The company will then give you ads, links and banners to use. Then just do a search on google for free classifieds, message boards or forums. Visits these sites and post your ads for your affiliate programs. You should start seeing some sign ups relatively soon. Do this several times a day, every day. You'll soon be on your way to making a decent living as an ad poster. However if you really want to see some big money, spend some money on advertising your affiliate websites on WebPages related towards your affiliate program. If your affiliate program is about dogs, then you want to google sites geared towards dogs and pay for advertising your affiliate website on the top sites you find. Chances are other people will find these top sites when looking for dogs and when they visit these sites your ad will be there. So now put this into practice. |
