Kiddie Pops for Creative Kids

Author: Mary Ann Ross

A sugar cookie is great to decorate and has even more pizzazz when made into a tasty cookie-on-a-stick.

For a party favor, decorate a few cookies ahead of time and write each child's name on a cookie. This will make everyone feel special and give the kids a tasty treat to take home.

Tip: Be sure to have enough pops for the little artists to use.

For ease and quickness:
Use already-prepared cookie dough found in the refrigerated section of your grocery store. AND... if you or the kids do NOT want to roll the cookie dough, use easy cut-pat-bake cookie treat pans that are no mess and quick.

To Decorate with Edible Candy Toppings:

While frosting is moist, add sparkling sanding sugars, candy confetti sprinkles and jimmies candy confetti sprinkes, as desired.

Allow the decorated cookies to dry overnight.

To Decorate with Drawings and Messages:
When completely dry, stamp or write messages and pictures as desired. Use pointed paint brushes dipped into food coloring (liquid or paste) and create directly onto the cookie or use colorful EDIBLE PAINTS.

ENJOY -- this is a creative cookie decorating craft that is good to eat!
