Child Anger Management - 5 Tips for Moms with Bad Tempered Children

Author: Jamie Sullivan

Moms all over the world have a difficult time managing their children. Often, they blurt out unnecessarily at children in their anger and thereafter resent their actions. Moms try not to spoil the moods of their children but sometimes circumstances beyond anyones control get the better of moms and they are unable to put up with the mischief and disobedience of their children. Even the best of moms can lose her temper on any day.

Arousal of anger in you could be due to stress, any financial problems, lack of sufficient sleep, hunger, or because of your illness. These factors inhibit you physically and you display your inabilities as anger on your children.

Here are a few of my suggestions for you.

  1. When you feel your anger increasing alarmingly, move away from the scene. Practice some deep breathing and counting exercises to bring down your tempers.

  2. Go back into your thoughts and listen to what you said in your anger. This would surely not be your intention. Additionally, you would not like to set an example of a yelling mom to your children.

  3. Practice the way you would react if your children misbehave. Practice out different situations and try to adhere to these in real events. This lowers incidence of anger.

  4. Sometimes anger could be due to frustration. You feel angry if children do not live and perform to your expectations. You feel to be a failure as a parent. Sometimes hurt feelings also are the cause of your anger.

  5. Set aside a particular day or time of the week for yourself. Leave your children with your husband or someone else and indulge in yourself. This could act as a huge destructor and you can come back fully refreshed and full of energy.

Now, put all these into action and see the results immediately. I hope these few tips helps.

Conclusion

Yelling or punishing your child will not make things better. It only make things worse and harder for you to deal with them the next time.
