How to Say No to an MLM Salesman

Author: Lance Winslow

Many people are approached by Multi-Level Marketing Salesmen and often they are actually friends of theirs. After listening to the pitch and feeling somewhat duped then they try to find a way to politely say no without hurting their friends feelings.

After thinking about it all and putting down such thoughts they try to think of a legitimate excuse without hurting their feelings. Yet inside they are thinking this is a pyramid scheme and I need to get rid of this guy quick. They are not interested in participating

Nor should they be. If you do not believe in it, it can never work anyway. About the only people I have seen make it work, are absolutely believers. Some how they will it to happen. They treat it like a cult.

It is hard to face ones friend on something like this and how are you going to break the news to them? Well you must stand tall and for what you believe in. Be straight up with him and let him know, that you wish to be on good terms, but are not the MLM type. Remember he has probably been rejected 100's of times. Besides, it is better for both of you to agree to disagree. Maybe we need to educate the consumer in to how best to say "no"?

Often those who have friends try to sign them up for MLM duty wonder how they ever considered them their friend in the first place? Well, perhaps you admired his energy and respected his strength of character. You know perhaps his drive. You just maybe do not like how he has applied it now or rather what he has applied it too, you see? But that same drive, now is allowing him to stay tough and handle the barrage of rejection? Do you wonder if he is angry inside for it? Consider this in 2006.
