Forum Posts in an Instant

Author: Tom Takihi

Every internet user at some point in their on-line life has posted a comment, suggestion or opinion in a forum. It might have been about anything as complex as astrophysics or something down-to-earth like gardening. The initial experience of posting in a forum usually carries with it an air of uncertainty, as the new member makes his first post. He is unsure if his comments would be embraced by the other members or would just be pleasantly received. Future or succeeding posts greatly depends on how things go from this point on. These forums basically act as a place where people with similar interests exchange ideas, experiences, information and know-how among each other. In other cases, forums also functions as a support system much like how a community comes to the aid of a member in need of assistance.

It is a microcosm of virtual information exchange and even social activities that sometimes, or should I say, oftentimes extends into the real world. Forums often represent societies in real time. Now that we have an idea as to what forums are all about, we must ask ourselves the who, why and how questions? Why would anyone put up a forums site? Contrary to popular belief, money isnt always the reason why anyone would engage into something like creating and maintaining a forum. Well, money is a big part of it but reasons like social awareness, education, a sense of calling and interest would take the big chunk of the reason cake for running a forums site. Who would be running these sites? Special interest groups, businessmen and ordinary people who just want to increase awareness about an issue, topic or to simply help other people. The how part is uncomplicated since it is easy to create a forums site. With the tools and information about creating and maintaining sites available today, it would be a relatively easy undertaking. What is difficult to do though is to attract people to register or join your forum and to start posting their thoughts, feelings and ideas.

There is no doubt that with proper exposure and enough references, you will have a successful forums site in your hands. The only problem with this scenario is the time it takes for your site to pick up with regards to new member registrants and the continuous participation of your existing members who will do most of the postings. Bringing in the big guns should not be your last resort when your site is just starting out. The big guns being hired forum posters. In the long run, having to employ people to do the initial postings would be a wise decision since every post made would make your site more visible in the internet thereby attracting more people to your forum in the soonest possible time. The proficient posters you make use of will interact with new and existing members by starting the discussions or they can also keep the ball rolling with regards to the open topics already being talked about.

Just remember, if you want good and fast results for your forum website, bring in the big guns.
